About your job
In this position, you design and develop IT architecture solutions for business problems in line with our architecture direction and standards. You perform technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. To ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies and develop specifications for new products, services, applications, and service offerings, you assess the compatibility and integrations of products and services proposed as standards. The work involves developing high-level frameworks that align the organization's technology landscape with business processes and data to improve business efficiency and productivity.
Part of your mission is also:
Performing architecture governance tasks, and co-leading architecture councils with head of enterprise architecture of Sandvik Group.
Leading platform engineering architecture and future vision for data, integration and cloud.
Providing guidance on the direction of technologies in data/AI, integrations and DevOPs tools.
Leading infrastructure (Cloud, On-Prem, Edge) strategy and vision for Sandvik Group.
Leading different evaluation and migration projects and building join consensus with all EAs with Business Areas and brands of Sandvik Group.
Developing and maintaining various architecture artifacts, including baseline and target architectures and architecture roadmaps.
For this job you're preferably based in Sweden, while other locations might be an option for the right candidate.
Your character
We're looking for someone with a university degree in computer science or information technology, combined with extensive work experience - including several years as a technical architect. You have experience from working with cloud-based technologies and hands-on experience as a single contributor to document and demonstrate architectural designs. You have the ability to provide architectural thought leadership and expertise as well as advocate and defend positions to both technical and non-technical teams. You're also skilled in driving information governance, data quality, cloud and integration-led transformations. In addition, you lead Domain & Solution Architects and influence across organizational boundaries. Working in a truly global environment calls for excellent English skills, verbal and written.
You're strategic, have clear analytical skills and an execution mindset of seeing things through, from idea to action. You have good presentation and communication skills - helping you to build strong relationships with people you encounter. Being a driven and motivated problem solver, ready to pursue meaningful work really comes in handy in this role as you always strive to make an impact.
