The section Product Documentation is in total approximately 90 persons within five different groups.
Product Documentation have the responsibility of all releases of models, drawings, part numbers, product numbers, standards and standard part within Volvo Car Group.
As Engineering Standards Responsible, you are responsible for engineering standards and standardization within Volvo Car and partner companies for which Volvo Car have a joint development within product- and/ or production development.
You monitor international and national standardization and by either the own department resources or other Volvo Car department resources join for Volvo Car interesting standardization task.
You lead and guide a team of three people working with standards parts.
Main responsibilities
* Identify and initiate standardization project and lead or co-operate the project in order to ensure that repeatable technically information can be carried through with optimal lead time, cost and quality
* Priorities and decide of implementation and financing of new standards with Technical Specialists within the areas: Product standards, Material standards, Part standards, Manufacturing standards
* Provide to the organization and partners necessary national and international standards.
* Follow up the usage of standards and initiate activities for correction if necessary.
* For standard parts initiate and lead variant and part limitation projects, quality fulfilment and information oriented activities.
* Initiate, prioritise and decide of implementation activities within the PLM system.
* Establish a budget and follow up financial result for the unit.
Required qualifications
* Master of science degree in either mechanically or electric.
* Long experience in industry research and development.
* Merit to have experience from Volvo Cars P&Q and or standardization work on national and international level.
