Of course, you will also need to plan, direct, and coordinate the engineering activities facilitating efficient, best practice and safe manufacturing operations across the site.
You will be accountable for all on-going engineering activities on a 24-hour, 7 days a week basis covering all areas of the site.
More fun things you will do:

You'll need to be willing to travel to other manufacturing sites globally to learn about Oatly and to meet the Global Engineering Team!
You will have an opportunity to develop the site Engineering team (Project managers and System Engineers, 10 people in total) and you'll also be part of the site Leadership Team yourself. The site is under development as we are growing; and this implies that you will be also responsible to drive the local PMO, initiating pre-studies and classifying project portfolio on site, coordinating with team members in EMEA and also globally.
WHO YOU ARE
You'll be an Experienced Engineer with a degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Production Engineering together with a Lean/Six Sigma tools and techniques qualification. You will be experienced leading within in a 24/7 production environment, preferably from the food or process industry; and will have significant exposure of working within a company having a continuous improvement-based culture. Experience of working with an ERP system would also be highly useful.
You must be able to demonstrate an ability to engage and manage engineering teams, coaching people to be at their best and to find their own solutions whilst creating a safe and inclusive environment. You have a collaborative spirit, helping your team to visualize goals and follow up on development in projects.
You also need to be able to facilitate collaboration that supports alignment, creativity and results. You need to be self-aware and growth-oriented and to understand your own strengths and limitations.
You communicate fluently, orally and in written, in both Swedish and English.
Finally, to be the perfect fit for Oatly, we believe that you have a thirst for knowledge and that you are eager to learn more! You are an improvement driven person with a hands-on approach, even during rapid change.
We hope that you share our values and are just as eager as us to carry out our mission in order to make the world a little bit better.
