JOB DESCRIPTION
The PCB CAD team is one part of the Electronics and Mechanics department. We are responsible for the hardware development at Axis and are working with everything from new product development and future technologies to maintenance of existing products. The PCB CAD team is working in close cooperation with both the Electronics teams and the Mechanics teams but also with other departments within R&D, Operations and Product Management.
The PCB CAD team has grown rapidly and now needs a dedicated manager for further growth and to strengthen the focus in this area.
As Engineering Manager in the PCB CAD team you will be responsible for leading and developing a group of highly skilled and experienced engineers. You will have the overall team responsibility and your main tasks will include:
• Long term planning
• Allocate resources to projects
• Develop the team and its processes
• Budgeting
• Teambuilding
• Recruitment
• Appraisal, development and salary talks
• Coaching the engineers in the daily work
• Speaking partner in technical discussions
You will report to the director of the Electronics and Mechanics department.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for a driven and service minded Engineering Manager with previous team leading experience to lead and prioritize the work in the PCB CAD team. We believe you have an educational background in engineering and enjoy engaging in technical problem solving.
It is important that you have a good understanding of both electronics and mechanics development since the PCB CAD team interacts closely with engineers from both disciplines. Previous engineering experience from development within the Electronics and/or Mechanics area will be considered a plus.
You will lead a highly skilled team and your ability to introduce new employees and build the team will be crucial for our success.
