We constantly need to increase our capacity to support and improve our products on the market. We are therefore now looking for an Engineering Manager for one of our Mechanics teams within the Electronics and Mechanics department.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
The Mechanics teams are part of the Electronics and Mechanics department. The Electronics and Mechanics department is responsible for the hardware development at Axis and are working with everything from new product development and future technologies to maintenance of existing products. The Mechanics teams are working in close cooperation with the Electronics teams but also with other teams within R&D, Operations and Product Management. Within the teams we have engineers with experience ranging from newly graduated to many years.
The Mechanics teams have grown rapidly and it is now time to split the groups in three to maintain Axis strong momentum and market share growth.
As Engineering Manager in one of the Mechanics teams you will be responsible for driving and developing a group of highly skilled and experienced engineers.
You will have the overall responsibility and your main tasks will include:
• Long term planning
• Allocate resources to projects
• Follow up and evaluate projects
• Develop the team and its processes
• Budgeting
• Teambuilding
• Recruitment
• Appraisal, development and salary talks
• Coaching the engineers in the daily work
• Speaking partner in technical discussions
You will report to the director of the Electronics and Mechanics department.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a driven and service minded Engineering Manager with previous team leading experience to lead and prioritize the work in the Mechanics team within R&D. We believe you have an educational background in engineering with a relevant master's degree, previous engineering experience within the Mechanics area and enjoy engaging in technical problem solving.
It is also important to have basic understanding of the Electronics area to understand and cultivate the cooperation with the Electronics teams. You will work in a highly skilled team and your ability to introduce new employees and build the team will be crucial for our success.
