OUR QUALITY ASSURANCE UNIT
The Axis Center of Competence for Quality Assurance focuses on product testing, verification and validation. Our primary goal is to make sure that our products meet our high quality requirements when released from R&D. The main activity is testing and verification of software. Our principal collaboration partners are developers, project management and product management.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The purpose of the team is to conduct testing and verification of firmware for our embedded products. This includes new products as well as firmware upgrades and our firmware platform used as base for all development projects. As Engineering Manager for embedded testing, your job will be to coach and mentor the team, helping each of our test engineers to grow and perform to the best of their abilities. But you will also be a driver of improving the embedded test methods as well as nurture the co-operation with the development teams to increase development performance and quality.
This will involve:
• Providing insight into where the company is going, using information from other groups and departments
• Seeing that the work runs smoothly by helping to remove obstacles
• Planning and allocating resources
• Recruiting of additional team members
• Developing embedded testing methods
• Holding appraisal talks and performance reviews with each team member
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
You have a master's in electrical engineering, computer science or similar. You have more than five years' experience from
test engineering, management and development of embedded products and you have good management and leadership skills. You are a communicative, organized person with a strong drive and you're really into testing!
