The Global Center of Competence Power Quality Solution (former FACTS) is a business unit within Hitachi Energy Sweden, supporting the global market for delivery of Power Quality applications in collaboration with regional and local demand units. The Power quality applications technology enables power systems owners to increase the capacity of their existing power systems while improving electrical stability at the same time. The result is more electrical power can reach consumers with minimal environment impact after shorter project times and at lower investment costs. This pioneering technology is developed at the Global Competence Center in Västerås and sold to customers worldwide.
We are now looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of electromechanical engineers both on senior and junior level delivering high-quality and cost effective engineerings solutions to our global customers. You will also be part of an experienced Engineering mangement team. We can offer a stimulating and dynamic environment in a global context where you will be working at the forefront of the industry. You will ensure great competence and growth, while taking on budget and finance responsibility.
Your responsibilities
Coach, develope and motivate your team
Ensure resource management towards Project, Tender and Development and follow up progress on the deliverables, on time, on saftey, according to customer and quality requirements
Ensure that the team is resourced, developed, and equipped to meet the business needs
Support and drive continuous improvement activities to improve processes, procedures, and effectiveness within your area of responsibility
Budget responsibility for your team
Being part of 3-D strategy and BIM implementation

Your background
You hold a degree in Electromechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
You have 3-5 years experience within team management, project management or similar and see yourself as a team player
At least 3-5 years of experience in Power Systems, Power quality, Power Grid Solution, Power transmission (HVDC) or Substations
You have a positive leadership attitude and drives of developing others and yourself
You are structured, persistent, flexible and well-organized in your way of working
Have some knowledge on 3D tools, Revit, Solid works, BIM 360
Bring great knowledge in the field of engineering and development
Fluency in English is required, both written. Swedish is preferable.
