Who is your future team?
You will be responsible for three cross functional teams, a total of 18 persons that develops device management functionality across the software stack. We deploy our code in the cloud as well as on customer premises. As much as possible we are working in a DevOps fashion and it is important for us that the developers want and have the technical possibilities to understand how their code is working independently if it is deployed in the cloud or on customer premise.
We are passionate about what we do, constantly working to develop both ourselves and the way of work. Sharing our knowledge is essential and we reach our goals together.
What will you do?
Axis develops market leading products for the security industry. To handle the products in a cybersecure manner and give the customer an integrated experience across the lifecycle of the product we develop our device management offering.
As Engineering manager for device management, you will be responsible for developing the core services in Axis new Device management offering. The device management offering is a core part of Axis future strategy to be able to continue delivering cutting edge solutions for our customers and stay on top of our competitors. In other words, your contribution will have a big impact on our result!
To be successful in this role you need to be willing to go well beyond the technical domain. We expect you to participate both in the product definition together with product management as development of business models. This requires that you are interested in the business aspect as well as the technical aspects. Specifically, we think you have a strong passion to understand our customers problems and find satisfaction when we have solved them.
Finally and most importantly, we believe you have a strong passion to build and take care of your team and that you find energy in leading and helping them.
Who are you?
We believe you have a deep technical knowledge in the software domain, preferably with a M.Sc degree in Engineering. You are curious and willing to learn new things outside your domain.
You have previous experience from leading a team and similar positions. You have a good understanding for servant leadership and knows how to make the best environment possible for your team members. You strive for high quality in the end product and you motivate your team to accomplish it.
Finally, you are driven and get energy from creative tasks and getting your team together in common tasks. You see it as your responsibility to be there for your team members!
You have experience from:
* SW development
* Dev Ops and Agile development
* IOT systems

As a manager and leader my most important task is to make sure that my and your team members have the ability to do be their best at work. We do this by making sure that they have the correct prerequisites and support structures. Furthermore, we make sure that they have a clear goal and understanding why that goal is important. Lastly, we challenge ourselves and our team members by setting high standards and expecting them to raise to the challenge and succeed.
My door is always open, and I am open for any discussions. At the same time, I believe in independence and self-leadership for all team members. The people and their knowledge is what makes our success.
