Who is your future team?
You will be responsible for the AXIS OS System team. The team is crucial part of Axis Software organization and is responsible for developing a central part of AXIS OS as well as the integration and interaction with the Service Platform. The team has 15 members working in small agile teams. We aim to make the customer experience a little better every day.
What is AXIS OS?
AXIS OS is a Linux based multimedia platform that is used on almost all Axis devices. You will lead a few technical experts that together with a virtual team of architects are responsible for the AXIS OS architecture.
What will you do?
As an Engineering Manager you will be leading the team in both strategic and operational parts. You will be part of a management team within the AXIS OS organization and develop the vision and strategies for the system domain by building and developing a strong team.
The main tasks include:
* Drive the vision and strategy of AXIS OS Architecture
* Develop, lead and support your team members
* Develop strategies and visions for the system domain
* Collaborate with other teams within R&D to drive technology development
* Identify new opportunities based on our customers' feedback and market research
* Contribute to open source communities
Who are you?
You have a truly agile mindset and like to develop both technology and people. You are communicative and social: teamwork and collaboration are essential to your success at Axis. You understand the big picture and how to translate it into daily work and small frequent deliveries.
It is also nice if you have:
* A Technical background and interest
* Experience as a manager
* Experience in, and a big fan of working with agile teams
