Job Description
As an Engineering Manager you will have the main responsibility for the overall management of your employees and consultants. The R&D team is expanding rapidly, and we are looking for engineering managers to join the technical leadership team. You will report to the VP of Engineering.
As an Engineering Manager you will:
• Be fully responsible for creating the engagement needed to meet the company goals within your time, that's include inspire, lead and shape the team consisting of 3-10 team members
• Help your team with prioritization, hold 1:1:s with the team members and set up individual growth plans
• Successfully manage and develop relationships with a variety of stakeholders
• Scope and own a problem space while you develop your team's vision and mission statement
• Be responsible for setting a good interview process and leading recruitment for immediate team and play a key role in helping us continue to develop and retain great engineering talent
• Be an inspiration and learn together with your team
Qualifications and personal qualities
• You have a background as a leader within software development and have possibly also worked as a developer yourself at some point
• Experience at developing, mentoring, and growing a team, preferably in complex environments
• The ability to provide constructive feedback, problem solving and analytical skills
• You need to be passionate about people in all aspects, from recruiting, developing, coaching, and shaping the team
• You have strong communication skills, experience with change management, and believe in the power of people
• You are fluent in English
