Do you like people, leadership and technology? Do you find the combination of software and hardware exciting? We are now looking for a manager for a team developing software for products in Axis' product portfolio at our HQ in Lund.
Who is your future team?
At the System Products R&D-department, we have overall responsibility for the development of several exciting products, from idea to volume production and launch. Some examples of products we develop are video recorders, video decoders, strobe sirens and body-worn cameras. In the projects, employees from many different disciplines collaborate. Mechanics, electronics, software, industrial design, production technology, industrialization and more come together here. Our department has a mix of junior and senior employees who work together and learn from each other in an open familiar climate. We are also responsible for function growth and maintenance of launched products.
We are now looking for a manager for the software team responsible for the software of our video storage products.
What you'll do here as an Engineering Manager
You will lead the team and help the engineers to grow and develop in their roles so that they perform to the best of their ability. The team consists of software engineers with varying degrees of experience. Developing and recruiting staff will be important tasks as well as conducting performance reviews and salary reviews.
The team collaborates extensively with electronics engineers and other software teams. You will be an important part of this and are expected to develop our ways of working, be involved in discussions about technical strategies and be part of the long-term planning. The team is responsible for the software in new products as well as for feature growth and maintenance in launched products.
You will be part of the department's management team and report to the department's Director.
Who are we looking for/Who are you?
You are a natural leader who is passionate about developing employees as well as the business and have previous experience as a leader. We believe that you have an engineering degree and that you enjoy building and maintaining relationships. You also have experience in software development, are pragmatic and have a positive drive forward.
