You have a master's in electrical engineering, computer science or similar and have documented leadership skills. You're passionate about product development and have the capability to manage and motivate people. Preferably you have a background within the field of product development and experience in embedded systems from the following perspectives: software, mechanics and electronics.
THE NEW VIDEO PRODUCTS DEPARTMENT
The department is responsible for the development of all new embedded network video products that Axis releases to the market. The teams within New Video Products consist of project managers and SW developers while electronics engineers and mechanical engineers are assigned from another department within Axis for each new product development project.
JOB DESCRIPTION
You will be responsible for driving and developing a group of highly skilled project managers and software developers. You will work with road-mapping, resource allocation, budgeting and run the day-to-day operations in order to optimize the conditions for all the projects running in your team.
The job will be available from beginning of January 2009 replacing the current manager in our Fixed Cameras and Fixed Domes team who will be on leave until September 2009. After September 2009 there will be a new team that needs management resources due to our continuous growth. This is to be viewed as a permanent employment as a team manager.
