We are now looking for a skilled leader who can build and develop our Application Team at New Business.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will run the day-to-day operations and making sure that we have the right competence and dedicated engineers by coaching them and run appraisal and development talks on a continuous basis. Recruitment will be a central task and you will have the opportunity and responsibility to build and form your team and its working methods to meet future challenges.
You will work close to the business and product managers and will be heavily involved in discussions on product strategies, selection of technical platforms and following up on project status. You need to have a well working collaboration with several Axis teams, including the R&D team at our acquired company in Prague.
You will report to the R&D Director of New Business.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You should have a strong interest in people and can motivate the people you work with, creating an open and innovative work environment. Apart from this we believe you have a strong personal drive, enjoy teamwork and are a natural leader.
We believe you have a master's degree in engineering and a professional background relevant for the team's technical area, both as leader and engineer.
You will work in a team in an expansive phase and your ability to introduce new employees and in parallel develop the team structure and work processes will be crucial for our success.
THE APPLICATION TEAM
The main focus for this team is development of all applications to New Business four product areas. This means web applications, mobile applications and management software. The team members could typically contribute to a cross organization development project for a product or drive their own project to develop a specific application. The team is responsible for all kind of activities of our application development; user research, architecture, user interaction, implementation, maintenance and trouble shooting.
OUR NEW BUSINESS DEPARTMENT
New Business is an organization within Axis with teams mainly in Lund, Sweden and Prague, Czech Republic. We are responsible for evaluating new business ideas and M&A opportunities from a technical and a commercial perspective. We develop a number of innovative product lines outside Axis network video, to offer our customers the best products, solutions and services on the market. The team has market oriented product and solutions resources, product development resources and a M&A team. The ambition is to leverage on Axis existing expertise and capacity which build on a flexible and open co-operation with other departments.
