We are now looking for a skilled leader who can build and develop our team for Network Door Stations (NDS) & New Initiatives.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will run the day-to-day operations and making sure that we have the right competence and dedicated engineers by coaching them as well as run appraisal and development talks on a continuous basis. Recruitment will be a central task and you will have the opportunity and responsibility to build and form your team and its working methods to meet future challenges.
You will work close to Project and Product Managers for NDS and will be heavily involved in discussions on product strategies, selection of technical platforms and following up on project status. You will collaborate with several Axis teams, including the R&D team and colleagues at our acquired company 2N in Prague. You will be part of the R&D Management Team and will be involved in the work of the overall development of our R&D Department.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You should have a strong interest in people and be able to motivate the people you work with, to create an open and innovative work environment. Apart from this we believe you have a strong personal drive, enjoy teamwork and are a natural leader.
We also believe you have a master's degree in engineering and a professional background in embedded product development, both as a leader and engineer. You will work in a team in an expansive phase and your ability to introduce new employees and in parallel develop the team structure and work processes will be crucial for our success.
THE NDS & NEW INITIATIVES TEAM
The main focus for the team is Axis product area, Network Door Station (NDS). The team consists of skilled embedded developers that in collaboration with our Electronic & Mechanic team develop the next generation NDS products. The team is responsible for all firmware phases of the product area; architecture, design, implementation, maintenance and trouble shooting. The team also have the responsibility to technical evaluate new product initiatives that are coming in the future.
OUR NEW BUSINESS DEPARTMENT
New Business is an organization within Axis with teams in Lund, Sweden and Prague, Czech Republic. We are responsible for evaluating new business ideas and M&A opportunities from a technical and a commercial perspective. We develop a number of innovative product lines outside Axis network video, to offer our customers the best products, solutions and services on the market. The department has market-oriented product and solutions resources, product development resources and an M&A team. The ambition is to leverage on Axis existing expertise and capacity which build on a flexible and open co-operation with other departments.
