Due to our continued growth and success, we have a new engineering manager position open for the team responsible for FW testing of Axis video products and technology research projects.
WHAT WILL YOU DO? The EVP & Tech Test is comprised of two groups with focus on supporting two different parts of the R&D organization:
The Extended Video Products organization have the responsibility to develop products for special applications. Examples of this is thermal and very high-resolution cameras, network video storage and network components. The Technology organization is responsible for the research and development of new features and platforms for Axis products. Some important areas are image processing, video analytics, video compression and development of GPU/CPU ASICs.
EVP & Tech Test is supporting these two R&D departments, providing testing expertise and assisting them in providing the high level of quality that Axis is known for.
Your main tasks will be to:
Lead and support the team and individuals in their daily activities and make sure we get most out of everyone. Run the day-to-day operations making sure that we have the right competence, test processes and test tools. Work together with your counterparts in the R&D organization and be up-to-date with project plans and need of resources for new projects and technologies. Develop your team and its members related to both the needs of the company as well as in balance with the needs of every individual. Perform standard line management tasks like salary setting, budgeting, recruitment of test engineers, etc.
You will report to the director of Video Product Test within the Quality Assurance department.

You fulfill the following criteria:
At least a few years of leadership experience in leading roles, such as line manager, project manager or test lead. You are passionate about testing and quality and have relevant test experiences from former assignments. You are fluent in English and Swedish (or have the ambition to learn Swedish within a year). You are seen as positive and empathic listener with the ability to act when needed. You have a proven successful track record in leading and developing people and coaching them to discover their full potential. You always try to look at things from different angles in an effort to find the best possible solution.
