We are now looking for an Engineering Manager to strengthen AXIS OS Cyber Security - with a particular focus on software security compliance.
Your future team
AXIS OS is the Linux-based platform powering Axis devices - from network cameras and speakers to access control and recording solutions. It is the secure foundation of our entire product ecosystem and a key enabler for innovation, scalability, and long-term customer value.
Security is embedded into everything we build. AXIS OS follows the Axis Security Development Model (ASDM) and is reinforced by hardware-based security through Axis Edge Vault. The platform is designed to meet international cybersecurity standards and compliance frameworks such as ETSI EN 303 645 and FIPS 140, while leveraging industry-standard open-source technologies.
As cybersecurity requirements continue to evolve, we are expanding our AXIS OS Security area with a new Engineering Manager position focused on software security compliance and strategic execution.
What will you do?
You will lead a team of 10-15 skilled engineers responsible for developing and maintaining security capabilities within AXIS OS. Your primary focus will be driving software security compliance initiatives while contributing to the broader cybersecurity strategy across the platform.
This is a newly established team within the cybersecurity area, giving you a unique opportunity to shape both the direction and ways of working around compliance and security requirements.
You will work closely with your Engineering Manager peer within AXIS OS Security, as well as other Engineering Managers in the leadership team, together with AXIS OS architects, Product Management, and engineering leaders across AXIS OS. You will also collaborate with stakeholders across the company to ensure that our security roadmap is executed successfully and aligned with future business and regulatory needs.
Your main tasks will be to:
Leading, coaching, and growing a high-performing engineering team
Driving software security compliance initiatives and certifications by proactively understanding and translating compliance requirements into engineering execution together with the Product Manager
Owning the execution of the cybersecurity roadmap and strategic priorities
Ensuring the team has the right capabilities to meet current and future cybersecurity challenges
Collaborating cross-functionally to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions
Partnering closely with Product Management and architects to shape strategic direction
Contributing to the evolution of modern, user-focused ways of working
Managing line responsibilities such as recruitment, salary reviews, budgeting, and employee development
Who are you?
You are a confident and inspiring leader with a strong technical foundation and a genuine interest in cybersecurity. You know how to create engagement, build trust, and help teams succeed in complex environments. You combine strategic thinking with operational execution and are comfortable navigating both technology discussions and organizational challenges. Most importantly, you enjoy enabling people to grow while driving meaningful impact.
In addition to the above you have/are:
Previous experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role
Experience working as a software developer and/or software architect
Strong understanding of cybersecurity and software security principles
Familiarity with embedded software or Linux-based systems
A degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
Excellent communication skills and fluency in Swedish and English
