We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead one of our Quality Assurance teams within R&D. The team performs test of Axis Guardian, our cloud platform for video and security services with alarm center integration.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Axis is on a journey where software, applications, systems and connected services have an increased business and technical focus to complement our world class product portfolio. In this position you will be responsible for quality assurance of Axis Guardian. Axis Guardian enables our customers to offer video and other security services, with alarm center integration, to the market. Axis Guardian is hosted by Axis in AWS with 24/7/365 support.
This includes all aspects of quality assurance; functional and non-functional, as well as a joint responsibility for the development processes. Your main tasks will be to:
Lead the team and individuals making sure we get most out of everyone and that they get the needed support.
Develop your team and its members related to both the needs of the company balanced with the needs of every individual.
Run the operations making sure that we have the right competence, quality processes and test tools as well as a relevant network within the organization.
Perform standard management tasks like development talks, salary setting, budgeting, recruitment of test engineers, etc.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe you have a genuine interest and talent in leading people and organizations. It is very important for you to know and understand your employees and you will do whatever it takes to make their situation as good as possible while still getting the most out of your organization. Since we are working close together with the development organization in scrum teams, you find it easy to interact with individuals as well as organizations. You combine the skill of listening with the skill of taking decisions, and can find a good balance in between the two. You are an open-minded, cooperative person - a leader who can make people feel enthusiastic about their work.
You also have a genuine technical interest and like to get involved in work to improve the whole product development chain.
You fulfill the following criteria:
At least a few years of leadership experience in leading roles, such as test lead, project manager or line manager.
You are passionate about testing and quality work and have relevant test experiences from former assignments.
Well up to date with modern agile ways of testing.
Fluent in Swedish and English.
Last but most important you have a proven successful track record in leading and developing people, and a genuine interest in finding ways to develop your team, etc. As a person you perceived as positive and empathic, combined with the ability to negotiate and take decisions when needed.
