Packet core in Business Area Digital Services (BDGS) develop and deliver packet core solution for mobile networks. With us you'll be part in shaping the next generation Mobile Data and the Engineering Environments we use to develop our products. We enable millions of simultaneous connected mobile users while handling traffic from IoT to 4K video in Gbit speeds. Ericsson BDGS is becoming the partner of choice of Telecom operators using the latest technologies in cloud and automation to manage complexity so the ambitious can differentiate with TCO efficient solutions for programmable 4G and 5G networks, automated operations and digital engagements.

We are currently looking for an Operational Manager in the area E3 and Engineering Environment in Packet Core.
The E3 OM role is to ensure smooth operations with high uptimes and good handling of escalations and changes in the area by leading people across the E3 function and teams in these tasks. Engineering Environment is the area that includes development and test equipment used to develop the Packet Core product portfolio PCC, PCG, SGSN-MME, EPG, WMG, AAT and more. We are in a big transformation of the engineering environment from traditional local environments to new modern CI machineries and cloud based solutions at the same time as our product portfolio is evolving. You will take part in leading this transformation and form our future for developers, infrastructure and tools.

We stand at the forefront of Agile software development, using methods and principles from Lean and Agile methodologies to create a product that excels. Early customer and stakeholder interactions are key elements in our development process. We rely on team collective responsibility to complete all tasks according to prioritized backlogs. One of your tasks is to set priorities according to business needs. We provide a fun and challenging environment where you can grow and help to inspire your colleagues to further growth.

Responsibilities & Tasks
Handling escalations and severe incidents in EE together with critical incident drivers
Follow-up KPI's and measurements for EE and initiate appropriate actions
Be responsible for EE Change Management, WoW and Communications
Managing and ensure good collaboration with external stakeholders and partners
Guiding, coach and support engineers and teams on Operational tasks


As an E3 OM you drive the work through the Operations Officers for the different environment and tools teams in your domain.

Qualifications:
Deep understanding of CI, ICT and SW development equipment.
Excellent communication skills.
Team player and good people skills.
Being able to take decisions.
3-5 years' experience as an Operational Manager or similar.
Driving commitments with high energy


Furthermore, as an Operational Manager you are a leader in the organization and around the teams, it is important for you to have a high interest in people, processes and technologies. We also believe you are passionate about Lean and Agile development and your competence will help us evolve in this area.
