Job Summary
Are you ready to become the leading expert on mechanical design and other key capabilities supporting the D&T engineering community? Do you have a passion of sharing knowledge and best practice to other? If so, we want you in our Team!
As Engineering Capability Expert, you will play a pivotal role in Tetra Pak's business, driving and coordinating Mechanical Design capability development activities. You will ensure continuous improvement and development within one or more competence areas on a global scale. Your responsibilities will include coaching, providing and delivering training within your area of expertise, and ensuring the compliance to the enabling processes, procedures, standards, and tools.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with colleagues, acting as a key point of contact to become the "spider in the web" and facilitate key activities. You will leverage your specialized deep knowledge to solve complex, multi-dimensional issues and contribute actively to process improvements. Recognized by your peers as a functional and technical expert, you will be the trusted reference for expert guidance, ensuring excellence in mechanical design.
You will be based in Lund, Sweden or Modena, Italy.
What you will do
Lead and deploy your appointed capability area globally, ensuring that Tetra Pak organizations have the right level of knowledge and competence by providing best practices through coaching and support. The appointed capability areas are primarily mechanical design but also how it is supported by corporate standards.
Develop and continuously improve processes, procedures, standards, and tools, along with associated training materials, and deliver training to our end users, including certification.
Mentor colleagues within the Science & Engineering community.
Stay updated on mechanical design state of the art as well as existing and upcoming external standards and regulations.
Benchmark procedures, standards, and tools against external and internal best practices.
Create and maintain communication to ensure stakeholders are informed about respective capabilities.
Coordinate a team of Global Experts and/or consultants in development activities following the Business Transformation Process within your capability area.
Lead the mechanical designers network (MechNet), to share knowledge, raise awareness, and lead the decision-making process on key technical aspects.
Create and maintain Operational Performance Indicators and/or KPIs in your area of expertise to support Tetra Pak in achieving business goals by growing in respective capabilities.
We believe you have
University Degree, preferably Master but minimum Bachelor, or equivalent
Wide experience in mechanical design.
Experience in driving business transformation and change management activities.
A basic knowledge of project management principles, practices, and procedures.
Globally recognized as a central expert in your respective area.
Enjoy the mix of practical and theoretical work
Fluency in English is essential, both written and verbal.
