Then you may be the right person for us here in the screw joint team in the Materials Engineering Department. The team is currently made up of 3 screw joint specialists. We are now looking to add 3 more people to the team. We help to provide Scania with correct, sustainable strategies, methods and standards for the future. The development of new products is placing ever more stringent demands on screw joints, not least in terms of standards.
We also have broad cooperation with universities, institutes and suppliers in order to maintain good business intelligence and expertise for our customers. The team is part of Scania Materials Engineering (YTM), which consists of 50 or so employees and is part of Scania R&D.

Your duties
Your role will be to work on screw joint strategies at Scania and to develop them.
You will be responsible for the screw joint lab, which includes:
• Testing
• Development of new test methods and associated test method descriptions
• Further development of the lab to meet our own requirements and those of our customers
You will cooperate on the projects that roll out and lead predevelopment projects in line with the strategies. This includes dealing with screw joint-related matters and analyses.
You will also be responsible for cultivating and developing contacts with internal customers and external contacts.
As support, you will have the rest of the screw joint team and our customers.
You will also be involved in the improvement process, challenging and finding new ways of working.
Your profile
In order to succeed in this position, you will need good drive, social skills and a focus on order.
You will have a great many contacts, and so good spoken and written communication skills are a prerequisite.
You will have good technical knowledge of screw joint technology and a considerable interest in its development.
You will enjoy challenges and regard them as an opportunity to influence the future within this expanding field.
You will have an MSc in Engineering, plenty of practical experience and be proficient in English. Knowledge of German would be an advantage.
Experience of practical application of screw joints would be a significant advantage.
