In your role as a test and verification engineer on the flight control system, you will test and verify the complete control system for Gripen. The tests will be carried out both through desktop simulations and through flights in different Gripen simulators. The other major part of your work will be to analyze the data recorded during these tests to ensure that the control system's functions and properties meet established system requirements. The work is conducted in a positive and helping atmosphere in teams of 8-14 people.
For the implementation of the flight simulations, you will have to build up your knowledge and sense of flight characteristics during the work. In your work you will get a step-by-step competence development through both education and knowledge transfer with experienced colleagues. You will have to undergo a comprehensive training program to get into your role and your specialization in aeronautics. As you build up your skills, you will also be supporting Saab's flight test activities in their investigations and analyzes.
As a further step in your continued work, there are opportunities to continue in the test and verification work, to move on to a role as a test leader, or to perform more advanced tasks within our development work such as designing the control system.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who is genuinely interested in technology and flight. We value personal qualities such as being a team player, having an analytical ability, being structured and able to adapt to, and manage, changes in your work. You have a good ability to document and complete your work according to plan and expectations and it is a matter of course for you to be quality conscious.
Required skills:
* Bachelor or masters degree in engineering.
* All documentation and many contacts are in English, therefore good knowledge of the English language, spoken and written, is required.
* Good knowledge in Swedish ,both spoken and written, is required.

The area Aeronautics, Weapons and Navigation is part of Aeronautic's development department and the task is to develop functions and abilities in the technical areas of control systems, aerospace and systems technical integration, engine integration, aerodynamics, aeronautics, navigation and performance for manned and unmanned flying products. Our area is divided into 12 sections and has a total of about 240 employees. The control system is responsible for the development and maintenance of the control systems for mainly Gripen and Saab 340/2000.
We are three sections with 60 employees in total who are involved in many different projects. The business has a core to effectively support the further development of Gripen and our civil aircraft. Responsibility spans over project management, development and integration of complete subsystem, system security, control technology, monitoring and surveillance, as well as testing and verification. Our assignments does also include research and product development.
