Our Engineering department is creating a strong foundation of skills for new technologies and innovations.

We are therefore looking for an Engineer Wheels and Tires who will be involved in all phases of vehicle development projects.



Description

You will be part of the Chassis Propulsion Thermal one organization covering the development and integration of principally all systems and components that govern vehicle motion any direction, e.g. wheel suspension, steering, braking and propulsion. The team is working towards Steering and suspension systems. Where your role would involve to define and coordinate requirements settings and to contribute to the future technology strategy.



As an Wheels and Tires Engineer, you will:

- Define Statement of Requirements and take part in the supplier evaluation
- Participate in project team and follow up project deliveries
- Take part in Supplier visits and APQP
- Handle change management and engineering release
- Coordinate different engineering tasks, e.g. CAD, CAE, development, testing

We are looking for someone who has:

- A Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5-year history working with product development and product sourcing, experience and knowledge from wheels and tires within automotive.
- Driver license B.
- Excellent knowledge and skills in English, both written and spoken.

To be successful in this role, you need to:

- Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of vehicle development
- Be creative, solution-oriented and open minded
- Have good communication skills
- Have excellent automotive industry knowledge
- Ability to plan, prioritize and team work
- Knowledge in tire and rim development

NEVS is a member of the Engineering Industries and covered by current collective bargaining agreement signed by Unionen / Sveriges Ingenjörer / Ledarna.
