The client is designing, manufacturing, installing, commissioning, and providing aftermarket service for a wide variety of drilling systems and equipment.
To the office in South Norway, Kristiansand we are now looking for Software Engineers to join the team.
Due to the increased focus on software and documentation the Department of Technical Safety will assist in maintaining our clients security policy. It includes a vision minimization of accidents associated with the equipment, and the adverse effects of any incidents on; persons, the environment or property. The expertise within the group include class rules (rules and Regulations), security studies as HAZOP, HAZID, FME (C) A, and occupational considerations related to the equipment supplied. Group activities are included in the design process for both individual equipment as well as complete drilling equipment packages.
Responsibilities will primarily be:
Assist the Project Department and Sales Department with the support of technical safety issues.
Development and evaluation of technical safety plans in the project.
Defining analyzes and tasks according to technical safety plans.
A review of relevant engineering drawings and documents.
Review of the technical safety tasks and documentation of projects.
Prepare technical safety documentation.
Holder and conduct safety studies.
Standardize and implement technical security procedures and documentation
Qualifications and skills:
We are looking for positive and motivated employees who want to move to Norway on a permanent basis. Prior experience within the oil and gas industry is not required but is an advantage.
The position requires technical training as an engineer. It is desirable to have a good knowledge of the regulations and class requirements and experience with technical safety analysis equipment.
Interest in the subject and experience of offshore engineering environment will be emphasized.
It assumes good written and oral presentation skills in both English and Norwegian.
