We are now looking for an Engineer in E/E Body Electronics

Description

The E/E Team, that you will be part of, is incorporated in a bigger unit inside the Technical Development Organization. You will be in a team of Engineers, with primary responsibility for body electronics. These are mainly within comfort and body electronics area. (I:E Headlamp electronics, Memory functions, passive entry/passive start, Body control modules etc.)

An Engineer primarily collaborates internally with other engineers and technical specialists and externally with suppliers and is involved in all phases of a car project.

The role as Engineer in E/E Body Electronics involves:

• Development of different theft deterrent systems and support the development of other ECU's. This includes also Electric steering column lock.
• Participate in contacts with different officials regarding legal and market performance requirements.
• Balance the development with regards of functional and performance requirements of the different systems.
• Writing technical and functional requirements as well as handling project planning and follow-up.
• Develop and maintain your parts for different projects of body electronics modules.
• Participate in technical communication with suppliers through the complete product development lifecycle
• Support the team effort in technical communication with their respectively suppliers.
• Identifying opportunities and implement changes to improve products or processes and reduce cost
• Evaluating the feasibility of new proposals and products
• Responsibility for the development and maintenance of verification and validation methodologies and procedures that concern Body Electronics.
• Establishing and maintaining internal and external networks with electronics expertise
• Leading analysis of designs such as FMEA, FTA etc.
• Providing input to best practice design solutions
• Anchoring the assignment's decisions , development and status with the responsible line management

We believe that understanding of how vehicle functional requirements or attributes affects the body electronics systems and the performance of the vehicle to act and participate in the team efforts of this development. This includes also a large portion of analyzing mechanical stress behavior in steering column lock systems.

We will regard experience in development of automotive electronics as a merit!

We are looking for someone who has:

• Minimum education of a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience from mechatronics within the automotive industry,
• Fluent in English both spoken and written
• Driver licens B

• Excellent automotive Industry knowledge

Terms

National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB is a member of the Engineering Industries and covered by current collective bargaining agreement signed by Unionen / Sveriges Ingenjörer / Ledarna.
