Job Description
IP based GSM network installations on remote location.
SatCom antenna Installations on remote locations.
System maintenance and troubleshooting (IP-BTS, MSC/BSC/VLR, SatCOM antenna, Network Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches, Satellite Modems).
Making IP connectivity between IP based GSM network nodes (VPNs, VLANs, routing protocols, and security scenario).
Network operation centre (NOC)
Remotely configuring and/or controlling specific network elements to provide and maintain
connectivity.

• Receiving health and status reports from all network elements.
• Providing fault detection, diagnostics, isolation and restoration.
• Responding to alarms reported by the monitoring tools.
• Resolving errors and exception messages generated by network elements.

Competence

Graduation from a technical university with degree of Master of Science in Wireless communication, Internetworking or Computer Science.
Years of experience in IP based networks and GSM/UMTS networks.
Broad knowledge in IP-networks like TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, BGP4, OSPF.
Good understanding about the working SS7, SS7/IP, SIGTRAN, Soft-switching, MSC/BSC/VLR, HLR, Media Gateways and Signaling Gateways,
Cisco certifications CCNA, CCNP or CCIP are plus points
Design, initial setup and management of a network operation centre.
Knowledge about Voice over IP (VoIP / IP Telephony).
Good knowledge about Firewalls to make network secure.
Knowledge about satellite communication and hand on experience of SatCom antenna installations.
Knowledage to configure SatCom modems.
Good understanding of Linux/Uniux
Good programming skills C/C++, java/Php, scripting.
Use of fault finding tools in networks.
Knowledge about databases (e.g. My Sql)
Use of Network Management Tools.
