Engine Program Controller

At RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT you will be a key contributor to the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers over the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. As ENGINE PROGRAM CONTROLLER within Powertrain Finance, you will work cross all departments within Powertrain Engineering to support both the line and program dimension with necessary financial information.

Powertrain Engineering develops engines and transmissions for VCC and we are now recruiting a Program Controller for the next generation of engines. This is an opportunity to join a journey that will give valuable experiences.

Job profile:

• Support the Strategy and Concept department in various investigations.

• Participate in cost target setting on system level and break down to component level together with Purchase and task leaders.

• In the early phases of a program support with input to cost simulations and business case calculation.

• Support to department controllers and line organisation in the budget process.

• Calculation of product cost, tooling & investments and engineering cost in close cooperation with Purchase and Program Leaders.

• Follow up and report of program status to internal customers within VCC.

• Proactively spread cost consciousness and participate in cost analysis.

• Plan and coordinate cost activities together with Program and task leaders within the program.

• Develop the calculation- and reporting process including the product cost steering within Powertrain.

Your profile:

• University degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration (or similar)

• Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret, compile and communicate financial data in a clear and concise way

• Able to work on a detailed level and apply this on a higher company perspective

• Strong drive for result and ability to prioritize to deliver on commitments

• Good communication and team player skills

• High integrity and strong business acumen

• Good computer skills (PC-applications) and Excell

Fluent in both written and spoken English and Swedish. Experiences from Research and Development within the Car Industry is preferred
