Beside electromobility and fuel cell technology, internal combustion engine with alternative fuels will play an important role in the future,
This is what you will do
As an engine performance system engineer, you are deeply involved in the development of our ICE engines. You are mostly involved in early phases in the engine projects. You will participate in the different concept evaluations and propose the best technical concept. Most of the projects for ICE will manage alternative fuels soon. You will work with CAE, project leaders, other technical specialists, product planning, test engineers, design engineers, other Volvo companies and universities. In the department we have experienced people within fuel injection equipment, turbocharging, pistons, cooling system and oil system. Your task is to propose the best possible technical solution for the performance related components/system in engine projects. The overall ambition for us is to minimize the fossil carbon dioxide impact from Volvo Penta Engines. Our main project targets are within technical performance, emissions, reliability, lead time and cost.
Our team
We, your 15 hopefully soon to be colleagues at the department Systems & Technology in Gothenburg are responsible for the development of performance related systems for industrial and marine propulsion system. In close cooperation with other functions and colleagues within Volvo Penta we make sure, the development of our future products is in line with customer needs. We believe, and you should do as well, the way of reaching there is teamwork. Moreover, having fun at work.

Your CV should contain listed qualifications in academic degrees.
You have easy to create new contacts
A holistic view
Good skills in English and Swedish
Swedish driver license.
