We have done significant movements so far and next steps needs to be taken. In order to accelerate the movements we are looking for Energy Leader who has competence, knowledge and capabilities to lead this agenda in Purchasing to enable us to deliver to our goals.
Job Description
Your assignment is to lead the energy agenda across Purchasing to deliver to IKEA 100% renewable energy goal until 2030 with cost efficient solutions.
Your main responsibilities:
Set focus areas and priorities to move towards renewable energy across the total supply chain with speed
Identify the needs where innovation of new technology in specific industry is required, set actions / initiate projects
Lead and /or contribute to projects that enable movement towards renewable energy across different industries by finding solutions and innovations
Provide organization with tools and data needed to execute agenda
To set competence development agenda across functions to accelerate the movement
Collaborate across various parts of the organisation to leverage company resources (climate team, sustainability team, engineering team, material and innovation team, etc)
Monitor and report on the progress by establishing meaningful KPIs
Lead internal and external forums related to development renewable energy agenda, what needs to be done now and what should be done to secure future sustainable solutions

Qualifications
We believe you are coming with experience of leading in a complex environment on a global level. You have the ability to develop tactics to deliver to the strategic goals. You are capable to work with details if topics requires. You are structured, holistic, and methodical. You are also a strong communicator and a strong relationship builder. With your creativity and a "can do" attitude, you strive to find new and better ways, always keeping the final cost on your mind.
You have an Engineering background, preferably with focus on Energy. Experience from hands-on work with energy, energy efficiency, or industrial production is considered as additional benefits.

We are a true global organization with 1300 co-workers placed in 27 different locations, close to the suppliers and the market. The business development teams work close together with both Suppliers and Product Development.
