SCA Treasury and Energy Control is seeking to fill the position of an Energy and Treasury Controller located at the head office in Stockholm.
SCA Treasury and Energy Control is a function within Group Finance with the objectives to compile and analyse the Group’s financial and energy risks and results, ensure that the SCA Group's Treasury and Energy functions have satisfactory administrative routines and control procedures and to monitor that the treasury and energy activities are conducted as stated in the Group's financial and energy policies. Additionally the team is responsible for the financial accounting connected to Treasury as well as insurance and the reporting of financial instruments within the Group. The team consist of nine people, eight people located in Stockholm and one person in Brussels.
As an Energy and Treasury Controller you will mainly be working with consolidation and controlling of energy risks and reporting. You will support the management, treasury, subsidiaries and energy procurement with relevant information. The position Energy and Treasury Controller will report to the Director of Treasury and Energy Control.
The head office of SCA is located in the Waterfront Building in central Stockholm. The head office includes the group staff functions, Finance, Strategy and Business Development, Legal, Sustainability, Human Resources and Communications. Some 130 specialists work in an international environment where business processes are promoted through the global networks in the 60 countries where SCA is represented. SCA centrally manages the energy price risk related to mainly electricity and natural gas. In 2015, SCA purchased about 8 TWh of electricity and 8 TWh of natural gas, and the total energy net was approx. 4 500 MSEK.
Main Tasks
Maintain, monitoring and analysing the energy reporting for the Group
Continuously and proactively follow up operational risks, internal control and compliance of the treasury activities with the SCA Group Energy Policy.
Monthly, quarterly and annual closings
Provide high quality reporting and analysis (forecast and actuals) of the Groups Energy net
Update prices and perform market valuation and settlements
Counterparty reconciliations
Hedge accounting monitoring and documentation
Educate and support Group companies in reporting and accounting issues related to energy and financial instruments
Support to Energy procurement and Back-office
Assist subsidiaries with frequent as well as ad-hoc reporting and analysis
Maintain, administrate and develop the Energy management system.
Provide support regarding Treasury controlling, -analysis and -reporting
Contribute to energy and treasury related ad-hoc inquiries and special projects
Lead and participate in projects within the Finance organisation
Key Competencies
University degree in Finance or Business Administration
Sound financial understanding and good accounting know-how
3+ years from energy and/or treasury controlling/accounting, back-office or auditing
Experience with ENDUR and Reuters EIKON is a merit
Knowledge of Access and excellent skills in Excel is preferable
Good knowledge of energy instruments such as gas, and electricity but also CO2, Green Certificates and GOOs
