Description:
We are seeking a fulltime embryolog with childendocrinoligical to join our growing Laboratory. Competency and laboratory experience. Within clinical genetics.
The successful applicant will be self-motivated with high attention to detail and an exceptional work ethic. Flexibility and adaptation is essential to accommodate the work commitments of our large and dynamic laboratories that operate 7 days a week, including weekend work and some public holidays.
Experience Required:
Duties will include all IVF related procedures. Comprehensive training and experience in most aspects of a modern clinical ART lab, sterile techniques, including tissue culture, andrology, semen analysis . Conducts laboratory aspects of surgical sperm retrieval techniques (including microsurgical epididymal sperm aspiration, percutaneous epididymal sperm aspiration, testicular sperm aspiration, and testicular sperm extraction) . Oocyte retrieval, embryo assessment, In vitro maturation of oocytes, embryo transfer. Conducts clinical procedures associated with intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) using both ejaculated sperm samples and surgically obtained sperm samples, assisted hatching, and gamete and embryo cryopreservation. Contributes to research projects in the field of human reproduction, notably by regularly reading relevant periodicals dealing with reproduction and infertility. Writes adequate reports for all clinical procedures conducted and all laboratory work carried out. Plays a role in decision-making of a clinical nature pertaining to embryology, jointly with the physician and patients. Respects laboratory standards, including quality control and safety standards.
Duties will include all moleculer biology related procedures. DNA extraction and Polymerase Chain Reaction,Agarose gel electrophoresis and recombinant DNA technology for gene isolation,Single cell PCR analysis/FISH, Pre-implantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) and RT-PCR.
Duties will include all endocrinology related procedures. 17-OH progestron, IGFBP-1, IGFBP-3, Sensitive Estradiol, DHT, ?slet Cell, Anti GAD, AIA and Urinary Cortisol; R?A and IRMA Techniques , Urinary Creatinin and Urinary Iodine
Duties will include all histology related procedures. Candidate will perform light staining,Immunohistochemistry,performance of routine microtomy, staining, special staining and cryotomy is required. Candidate must understand theories and principles involved in the performance of all Histology procedures.
Education Required:
Position requires a Bachelor?s degree in Biology and Master?s degree in Histology-Embryology. A minimum of 2-year of human IVF embryology laboratory experience, a minimum of 1-year of childendocrinology laboratory experience and genetic laboratory experience.
Considerable patient contact is required, demanding excellent communication skills and being committed to providing the very best patient care. We have contacts with clinics outside Sweden mainly in Turkey and a good knowledge in the turkish language is desirable.
