hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Volvo Technology Corporation i Göteborg The System Test and Verification group performs test and verification of software products for the automotive industry, embedded system components as well as back-office systems. We aim to improve product quality by being a part of the complete development process, from the requirements capture phase until the end-to-end delivery test. We also ensure that the software components are well integrated with the hardware and user environment.
We work with the latest methods and tools to validate requirement fulfilment and detect defects in the software. We strive to continuously improve our test processes. Examples of our current focus areas are test automation and session based test management. In some projects we use agile methods in close cooperation with our customers. We use tools such as Quality Center and CANoe. Part of our work is performed in our labs, part of it in our test vehicles.
We are now looking for an embedded software tester to strengthen the group.
Position Description
As a tester you will primarily work with function and regression testing of software for embedded real-time systems within the area of telematics. You will work in a team of testers with a test leader, but will independently design, perform and evaluate your testing with some support from the test leader.
You will also take part in improving the work methods of the group and therefore it is a merit if you have an interest in good test methodologies.
Profile:
You have a burning interest for software testing. You like digging into technical details and have good analytical skills. You feel comfortable in taking initiatives, to question and come with suggestions. You are able to work both in a team and independently.
Qualifications:
University degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent education
Burning interest in software testing
Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Merits:
Work experience of software testing
Work experience of embedded systems
Knowledge of communication protocols
Some programming experience
