Permobil develops electronics and software that improves and adds functionality to our electric wheelchairs for our users in their everyday life. Seating functions, sensor technology and connectivity solutions are added both in on-board electronics in the wheelchairs and assisting devices that can interact with the wheelchair and the users.
Due too new and exciting projects we are expanding our embedded software team. We are recruiting a curious and driven developer that wants to be part of our competent team and shape the next generation of smart electric wheelchairs.
Your responsibilities
• You will play an important role in the development of the next generation of electronics for our electronic wheelchairs
• You will create reliable systems that comply with the regulatory standards for our medical devices
• You will work with different operating systems and multi-processor solutions
• You will be participate in the work from the beginning to the end of the software development life-cycle
Your skills
• You have at least a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
• You have several years of experience in embedded programming for real-time systems
• You have several years of experience in development in C or C++
• You have knowledge in embedded Linux and more high level languages such as JavaScript or C#
• You have good knowledge in hardware design in order to understand, design, implement and discuss embedded software solutions with our hardware development team
• You are used to work in Agile project development teams
• You have fluent English knowledge
• You have good communication, analytical thinking, strategic and problem-solving skills
• You have strong hands-on approach
