Swiss-based u-blox (SIX:UBXN) is a leading provider of wireless and positioning semiconductors and modules for the automotive, industrial and consumer markets. We are currently seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to strengthen our team in Malmö.

The Embedded Software Engineer develops/maintains software for the short range radio modules (mainly WLAN but also Bluetooth) and evaluation kits and verifies their functionality and performance according to specification. Furthermore, it also includes writing technical documents as well as to develop/maintain different software tools associated with the products.

Tasks:

• UML design
• Software development in C for embedded, real-time systems
• Software development in C# for tools and tests
• Technical Documentation (English language)
• Provide input for and review data sheets, user guides and release notes
• Support module qualification and type approval
• Analyze returns from customers
• Support specification of new products

Requirements:

• MS or BS in engineering with a focus on software development
• C programming of embedded, real-time systems
• C# programming in a Windows environment
• UML design
• Good English skills
• Used to work independently and accurately
• Wireless knowledge in general and Bluetooth and/or WLAN knowledge in particular is an advantage
• Knowledge about GCC, embedded debuggers (e.g. Lauterbach, ST-Link),
• MS Visual Studio is an advantage
• GIT and SVN knowledge is an advantage
• Hold a valid Swedish work permit
• Fluent in Swedish writing and speaking
