hela Sverige Scania is now transforming from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions. The next-generation powertrains with increased efficiency and electrification are important steps in this transformation as well as meeting the science-based target of carbon dioxide reduction. Further, we have started the transformation of the department towards pure electric powertrains for heavy-duty applications by incorporating electric propulsion control systems development.
About us
In the department for Engine Control Systems, we are responsible for the development of control system software for combustion engines and electric machines for all powertrains in the group. We have an open and innovative working environment, a perfect opportunity to develop yourself and make a difference. In our group, we are in exciting times introducing control of new gas exchange concepts, improving software and testing for safety-critical functionality, and implementing advanced diagnostics for a demanding US market, among many other customers and projects.
Your role
You will be part of the complete embedded software development chain, from idea and implementation to testing and evaluation.
You will be responsible for an area within gas flow control, where you work with software development, physical modeling, and estimation. You have the competence to perform functional developments using C programming as well as generating C code through Matlab/Simulink graphical programming. You are familiar with control theory and have the potential to use machine learning algorithms. Part of your work is to do calibration of the models and testing, using all kinds of possibilities from unit tests to simulations, engine tests, and vehicle drives.
Your profile
• You have a master's or Ph.D. degree within any of the following fields: control theory, vehicular systems, computer science, electrical engineering, relevant engineering program, physics, or mathematics.
• You are interested in both theoretical analysis and practical testing.
• Experience in control system development or engine development is of high value.
• You are good in communication and are fluent in English.
• Knowledge of the Swedish language is a big advantage.
• B driving license is required, C driving license is meritorious.
