We need to enforce the Android Automotive development team. We are working with the integration of Android Automotive on our Infotainment Systems (center screen head unit for passenger cars). These systems are increasingly becoming a vital part of the driver/passenger experience with richer functionality such as navigation, multimedia, security, internet connectivity and smartphone integration. Much of this provided by Google, but hardware bring up with associated hardware abstractions layers (HAL) and additional extensions/services/apps are developed by us. The coming systems combines the infotainment screen with the instrument panel, Android runs hypervised/virtualized and is highly integrated with the vehicle computer.

What is your profile??

Software engineers who can be part in our work with Android Automotive. Specifically there are work-packages to provide a minimal Android cell for production test of Wifi and Bluetooth. Also need for enforcing our continuous work in the area of HW bring up, HAL and the Audio/multimedia/connectivity/GNSS/VHAL domains

Experience:

Knowledge about the Android framework is highly valued as well as the HALs. There are different HW solutions with various SOCs (like Qualcomm, Renesas, Exynos, Intel etc) which need to be supported by Android Automotive. Knowledge of HW bringup is of great value specifically in the area of Audio, but also in Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS. CAN communication, VHAL and Autosar is also domains developers come in contact with. Skill in the area of hypervisors is a plus (QNX, Xen, Integrity etc)

Relevant experience from software development on embedded systems is of course a must, for example:

Thorough knowledge about object-oriented development and design.

Excellent C/C++ and/or Java programming skills.

Experience of agile development and continuous Integration.

Tools like GIT, Gerrit, Jira, RTC etc

Working in international teams, distributed all over the world.

The role is onsite at the office in Lund
