Vehicle Electronics is one of five Global Technology Areas (GTA) within Global Electrical and Electronics Engineering. We are represented on all Volvo Global Trucks Technology (GTT) sites and consist of around 130 skilled engineers in the area of:
• Chassis functions & electronics
• Vehicle functions & electronics
• Safety functions & electronics
• Customer & Transport Adaptation
Position Description:
• At the group Chassis Function & Electronics within Electrical & Electronics Engineering product development at Volvo GTT we are looking for a Software Owner.
• The Software Owner is delivery and lifecycle responsible for the complete embedded software in an ECU (Electrical Control Unit). The mission is to secure that the delivered Software meet defined requirements.
• As a software Owner You will be located in Lundby, Gothenburg, and work in the team responsible for developing chassis functions. The software development teams are located either at an external supplier, development partner or in-house.
• Our mission is to deliver world class products in the area of chassis functions & electronics where we are constantly challenged to provide the best solutions in terms of feature, quality and cost at the right time.
• You will in this role be the main responsible for software components and have a large network cross-functionally and globally.

Main Responsibilities:
• Manage software for concerned electrical control units (ECUs)
• Cooperate with external supplier, development partner or in-house software team
• Single point of contact to stakeholders (e.g function Owners, verification engineers, system engineering etc.) for technical issues
• Review and provide product documentation to our internal and external customers
• Secure product documentation in Volvo GTT production- and development tools
• Perform software component integration with hardware and perform basic test of the software delivered by supplier
• Responsible for software roadmap
• Continuous communication with internal stakeholders and suppliers
• Participate in Pre-study teams and advanced engineering
• Deliver software according to committed QDCF (Quality, Delivery, Cost & Feature)
Required Competencies:
• Experience of, and knowledge in embedded software development within the automotive industry, or other relevant industry
• System & risk management perspective (safety analysis, FMEA etc.)
• Functional perspective (understand the components role in a distributed system)
• Supplier partnership management
• Experience from industrializing embedded software
• General product management
• Requirements management
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
• Experience from software APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) is a merit
