hela Sverige As a member of the QA team at Paradox Development Studios, you will be a part of delivering the best possible games by testing our Grand Strategy titles in various stages of development. As an Embedded QA for Hearts of Iron 4 you will be part of the development team where we test and analyze every aspect of the game.
About the role
You will be doing traditional bug-testing as well as supporting the developers by providing feedback on soft values such as game design and the general fun factor of the game. This means you need to be apt at interpersonal skills, to be able to nurture relationships with the developers, and communicate feedback that is constructive and relevant. Skill development in areas such as leadership and mentorship to others is encouraged, so our team can collectively spread their passion for quality.

Some of your Responsibilities would be to..
Identify and report issues in our Bug Tracking Database according to internal standards
Help create effective strategies around testing all aspects of Hearts of Iron 4
Assist in managing the Bug Tracking Database to ensure it reflects the most current state of the product
Provide a wide range of constructive feedback to developers around the product at every step in development
Communicate & collaborate with Outsourced QA where needed
Assist with testing areas that fall outside of the feature set of the product (ie compatibility testing)
Requirements
Experience working in Quality Assurance, ideally on a full game development cycle or in other entertainment software
Experience in playing or modding for Hearts of Iron 4
Familiar with testing on a variety of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac, etc.) and release platforms (Steam, Game Pass for PC, etc.)
Proficiency with bug reporting tools such as Mantis or JIRA
Strong analytical skills in reviewing all design-related information and interpreting areas of risk in testing
Proficient in communicating constructive feedback in both written and verbal form
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and effectively learn and execute their tasks, while collaborating with the rest of the development team in a constructive and supportive manner
Practical information:
This position is based in the Stockholm office with weekly, optional, "Work from home" days.
There is no Relocation support offered for this position.
