Intelligent Transport Systems is a newly created section within the Connected and Autonomous Systems department at Scania R&D. Our mission is to provide connected and autonomous transport solutions. The Intelligent Transport Systems section will contribute to that mission by providing offboard systems for automated, optimized and safe vehicle control and monitoring.
Assignment
You will be a developer in our team for Collaborative Driving and V2X. The team develops collaborative solutions for Connected and Automated Vehicles, like truck platooning, and coordinated operations in a automated mine. The team responsibility is the onboard software and systems for short-range communication with other vehicles (V2V) and transport infrastructure (V2I). By adding this communication capability to our vehicles, we make autonomous vehicles safer and more efficient.
We work in an agile and fully team-oriented way, with autonomous and product-oriented teams. Teams are responsible for the entire product development, including strategy and roadmap, architecture, development and testing. The team work with both research as well as product development, but with a clear mission to deliver products to our customers.
Your profile
We are looking for people who combine software-development skills with an engineering attitude of innovation and product development. You are a team player and understand the principles behind exceptional team work.
You should have competence in, or a strong will to learn:
• C++/C# and Embedded Linux
• Agile development methodologies, like CI/CD, TDD, SCRUM and other standard modern development methods.
• Strong thinking in software modularisation and code quality
• Experience from vehicle communication networks (CAN/automotive ethernet) is meritorious.
• Knowledge in communication technologies like WLAN 802.11p / ITS-G5 is meritorious.
You have a BSc/Msc in Engineering, or similar experience.
