hela Sverige Visa alla jobb hos Dometic Holding AB i Solna Dometic is building a global team to develop a modular connectivity platform with products, hardware modules and software components, to enable interaction between our customers and their products. The platform is built incrementally and is the heart of a range of products. The Embedded Firmware Architect will join the team that owns this platform, nurture it and continuously improve and add functionality to it. The position is based in Stockholm, Sweden.
As part of the connectivity team, you will be involved in the entire product lifecycle - from idea through to a finished product including platform architecture, product definition, design, implementation, and deployment. You will work in close cooperation with our design team, hardware, app and backend developers, and our global development organization. You will also mentor and collaborate with external developers that we bring in when needed.

Main Responsibilities
• Lead the design of the architecture for our connectivity firmware
• Together with the team, actively be involved in development of the connectivity platform firmware
• Build-up, retain and communicate knowledge of the complete platform, including components developed in the regional organizations
• Set up requirements on how to assure quality of the software over time, in a globally distributed development organization
• Implement and guard best practices and tools for a sound management of software platforms
• Acts as a trusted team member and mentor for the outsourced development teams and external consultants
• Actively seek out collaboration and best-practice techniques, regionally as well as globally
Qualifications and Experience
We believe that the ideal candidate has the following qualifications and experiences:
• Experience of embedded systems development in C for target applications like IoT, networking systems and protocols
• Previous working experience in an international and multicultural environment
• Passionate about software development, with a drive to create great solutions and code, bringing your own ideas to the table
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in embedded software development
• Experience in development for automotive standards and protocols (CAN/LIN etc.) is of merit
• Experience of wired and wireless networking standards (Wi-Fi, BLE, 3GPP) preferably with solutions like ESP32, nRF52 and Quectel modems is of merit.
