Join a highly collaborative, cross-functional team at the heart of Beyond Gravity's Electronics business. Working closely with Engineering, Product Management, Programs, Production and other functions, you will contribute to the development of satellite onboard systems, platform and payload products as well as ground electronics products.
As an Electronics System Engineer, you will work at system and architectural level, providing system engineering expertise for electronics hardware systems, embedded processing systems and platform and payload solutions across development projects and series production programs in the satellite electronic solutions domain.
This is a role with significant development potential. You will have the opportunity to take increasing ownership, broaden your technical expertise and grow towards more advanced system engineering responsibilities over time.
Your mission
The Electronics System Engineer is responsible for:
Take ownership of your scope and bring assigned tasks to completion, involving more senior colleagues when needed.
Develop and maintain satellite onboard systems, platform and payload products as well as ground electronics products at system and architectural level.
Analyse and understand internal and external customer requirements and translate them into system-level requirements and technical solutions.
Break down system requirements into subsystem and module requirements and establish corresponding design requirements.
Develop technical concepts and system designs appropriate to customer and project needs, considering cost, time, quality, performance and technical feasibility.
Perform and/or assess system-level analyses, including performance, radiation, structural, EMC, reliability, FDIR and HW/FPGA/SW interaction analyses.
Coordinate development activities with other teams and disciplines to ensure complete and intended implementation of the system.
Plan and execute your own activities, monitor progress against schedule and budget, and raise awareness of risks and blocking points.
Support bidding and proposal activities through technical descriptions, concept work, cost and schedule estimates and risk and opportunity assessments.
Contribute to continuous improvement of products, technologies, processes and ways of working, challenging established solutions where appropriate.
Interact with customers, suppliers and external stakeholders within your area of responsibility and provide technical know-how to support successful project execution.
Maintain and develop system-level documentation and ensure compliance with established development processes and standards.

Your story
We are looking for a technically curious and solution-oriented System Engineer with a strong interest in satellite electronics and system engineering. You take ownership of your work, are comfortable working independently and enjoy finding solutions to complex technical challenges.
You have a collaborative mindset and enjoy working across disciplines, with the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers and external partners. You are motivated by continuous learning and want to develop your expertise and responsibility over time.
This role is a great opportunity for someone with strong potential to grow towards more advanced system engineering responsibilities and, in time, a Senior System Engineer role.
Must-haves:
M.Sc. in Electrical, Software or Aerospace Engineering, or corresponding experience.
Experience or good knowledge in system engineering, electronics or embedded systems, preferably within the space industry.
Understanding of requirements engineering, functional decomposition and system design.
Ability to perform or assess system-level analyses and understand HW/FPGA/SW interactions.
Ability to work independently, take ownership and deliver within agreed scope, schedule and budget.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Structured and solution-oriented approach to technical challenges and risk.
Fluent English, written and spoken.
Nice to have's:
Experience with satellite onboard systems, platform and payload products or ground electronics.
Knowledge of FPGA, hardware, RF, signal processing or embedded systems.
Experience with tools such as MATLAB, DOORS, PSA, FMECA, DOSRAD or Reliability.
Knowledge of ECSS, agile methods or model-based systems engineering.
Experience with technical coordination, customer interaction or proposal work.
Knowledge of product roadmaps and current technology trends.
