JOB DESCRIPTION
In this role you will focus on product maintenance within our Electronics Team and your main tasks will be to continuously improve and optimize our high-volume products from a performance and/or production cost perspective.
As an Electronics Engineer in this team your tasks will include analysis of products and components as well as re-design of the electronics in existing products. Your tasks will span a wide range of different products, designs, characteristics and requirements hence an open minded and flexible approach to electronics design is very important.
Product maintenance is a small but growing organization within the Electronics Team and you will be a key player alsoin developing processes and methods for high volume management of our full portfolio of products.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for an open minded and driven individual willing to share ideas, knowledge and experience on a daily basis to further develop our creative and open environment. Hence, good communication skills and an easygoing attitude are vital. A wide interest and a curiosity within electronics design are important. A proven ability to think outside the box and find new ways to solve well defined problems will also be a great asset in your daily work.
We believe you have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering and at least five years of relevant experience within electronics design and product development. Specific experiences from high volume production of electronics are highly valued. You also have previous experience from working in schematic capture programs and have good knowledge in EMC and appropriate standards.
THE ELECTRONICS TEAM
The Electronics Team is part of the Electronics and Mechanics department. Together with PCB CAD and mechanical engineering teams we are responsible for the design and development of the complete hardware in Axis products. We act as a knowledge center in this area and collaborate with other departments within R&D to develop our future products.
We have frequent contacts with suppliers and manufacturers and the department is also responsible for the regulatory approvals (such as EMC and Safety) of our products. We also work in close cooperation with other units responsible for production, quality, support and product management.
