At the moment we are looking for an Electronics Engineer with a genuine interest in electronic design.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As an Electronic Engineer you will participate in development projects for Axis Camera and Encoder accessory products. Axis accessory products are a combination of outsourced solutions from external suppliers as well as complete in-house development projects with design effort from mechanics, electronics and software teams.
You will have a dynamic and varying role depending on project type and typical tasks could be:
• External supplier discussions for outsourced solutions
• Perform feasibility studies of the electronic design
• Evaluate and select suitable components
• Create electronic design schematics
• Perform tests and verifications of the electronic design
• Handle regulatory approvals (EMC and safety)
• Create production documentation
For outsourced solutions a close cooperation with external suppliers is important. You will analyze the electronic design to make sure it is compatible with relevant Axis products and requirements.
For in-house development projects the electronic design will be done in close cooperation with PCB CAD engineers and mechanical engineers to create an optimal hardware design and high quality product. You will also work together with the Operations department, assisting in production start up and optimization work as well as handle contacts with component distributors, subcontractors and manufacturers.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We expect you to have at least a Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering and a genuine interest in electronic design. You have previous experience from working in schematic capture programs and have knowledge in EMC and appropriate standards. Experience from product development targeted for volume production will be considered as a plus.
We believe that you are a highly motivated and outgoing person with good communication skills in both English and Swedish. You are also able to work efficiently both individually with limited supervision as well as within a team of other highly skilled engineers.
THE ELECTRONICS TEAM
You will be part of an electronics team belonging to the Electronics and Mechanics department. Together with PCB CAD and mechanical engineering teams we are responsible for the design and development of the complete hardware in Axis products. We act as a knowledge center in this area and collaborate with other departments within R&D to develop our future products. The department is also responsible for the regulatory approvals (such as EMC and Safety) of our products. We also work in close cooperation with units responsible for e.g. production, logistics, quality, support and product management.
