We are looking for several skilled Electronic and Electric system engineers/architects to help us meet the Volvo purpose " To build the world we want to live in" .
Advanced Engineering and Core Technology (AE&CT) organization is responsible for the complete development lifecycle of the common embedded electronic platform - from advanced engineering through product development into maintenance phase. Our Core Electronic System Platform defines Base functions and capabilities to enable realization of machine level function and needs for the transformation journey Volvo is within with electrification, digitalization and autonomous machines.
About the role
As an Electronic System Design Engineer/Architect, you will work in close collaboration with stakeholders such as machine developers and core system developers and architects. You are part of the team responsible for leading the design and evolution of the Core EE System Architecture, both software and hardware topology-wise, as well as establishing the roadmaps capturing the evolution. Together with other system design architects, product owners and other stakeholders, you will lead and coordinate to concretize the strategies and visions into concrete technical concepts. We are using systems engineering and a model-based approach to design and develop our Core EE system.
It's beneficial if you have a well-developed and profound system thinking and holistic view while having a good insight in major technologies present in contemporary automotive embedded systems. Can you get stakeholder managers onboard on your ideas? Great.

Job tasks, example
Align the architecture evolution with technical concepts
Describe stakeholder needs, requirements and use cases
Develop and maintain models using modeling languages
Model the functions in the modelling environment
Model the system architecture in the modelling environment
Model and organize requirements in requirement environment
Establish traceability within and across requirements and system model
Analyzes and evaluates systems using MBSE artifacts
Conducts performance analysis of systems and subsystems.

Requirements
Master of Science in Electronics, Data science, Software engineering, embedded systems or similar
Fluent in Swedish and English (written and spoken)
6-8 years' experience working with embedded software design and development or embedded system design and development
A good eye on identifying gaps, flaws, and contractions, as well as finding solutions for them
You are a people person who loves to collaborate and build relationships
