Electronic Hardware Engineer - Propulsion Control
The Propulsion System unit at CEVT is responsible for the development of transmissions and electric propulsion systems and the controls associated with these systems. The Propulsion Controls team is responsible for the development of the control systems for new global transmissions and hybrid systems from the early concept phase to industrialization. These transmissions and hybrid systems will be the main technology for the Geely group.
We are now hiring a development engineer for the electronic hardware for gearbox electronics.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Specify the hardware requirements for transmission ECUs, connectors, sensors and actuators and validate them internally and with suppliers.
• Take lead in gathering, negotiating, updating, and documenting controller requirements, and provide technical expertise during the purchasing process.
• Be involved from concept to the series phase including the different hardware derivatives.
• Review and approve controller validation plans proposed by the supplier.
• Negotiate and manage changes with supplier, update controller requirements document
• Perform reviews on various projects and support as hardware specialist in various project teams
• Handle issues and introduce sustainable corrective measures.
• Support cost reduction initiatives.
• Work together with Quality Assurers for quality improvement actions.
• Lead the DFMEA, Worst Case Analysis and Failure Analysis
• Lead the controller related root cause analysis and develop/implement an execution plan and solution by working with cross-functional teams
• Identify opportunities for improved diagnostics, hardware design & reliability, and software execution and implementation as well as best practices
• Ensure robust technical solution and learning from root cause analysis implemented across all programs
Requirements
• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic, Physics, or related engineering field.
• Minimum five years' experience in Design, Development and Validation of automotive electrical/electronic components.
• Understanding of engineering theory and principles of electronic module including the manufacturing aspects.
• Knowledge in circuit board design and development.
• Experience in electrical analysis.
• Working knowledge of automotive component and system level test plans, including EMC testing.
• Controller seal and connector knowledge.
• Good overall knowledge of transmission and hybrid control systems.
• High motivation to work independently and proactively.
• Creative problem solving skills.
• Fluent in English.
• High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
• Cultural awareness, especially Asian - European culture.
• Driving license type B.
