Westermo is looking for an Electronic Chassis and Enclosure Team Leader
Westermo has a wide range of products designed for harsh environments. A key component in the products is our robust enclosure and combination of enclosure and electronic design.
We are now looking for a senior Electronic Chassis and Enclosure Team Leader that can support us in future designs as well as with improvements on current designs.
You have long experience in driving enclosure projects and are used to quality secure designs and suppliers. You are used to projects in zink casting and aluminium extrusion.
You have a worked with and understand different types of surface treatments and the challenge to combine the correct design, material and surface treatment to be able to quality secure electronic enclosures for serial deliveries.
Main tasks includes
• Plan and execute projects together with a team of enclosure engineers and in close cooperation with product projects and electrical engineers
• Quality secure and approve changes on released products
• Plan and execute continuous improvements. This can be related to processes, tools or other
• Drive long term enclosure quality, approve and purpose correct materials, surface treatments and design rules for Westermo products
Qualifications
To succeed in this role you need many years of experience from a team leader or project managing role within enclosure or other mechanical designs. You preferably also have a Master of Science in mechanical engineer and have worked a few years as enclosure / mechanical designer.
You have extensive experience with casting and extrusion and also experience with different types of surface treatment
You preferably also have worked with products combining enclosure and electronics and understand how these can be combined to create a robust product
As a person you are structured and organized. You must be fluent in Swedish and English, both verbal and written.
You will be based in our office in Västerås or in Stora Sundby.
