Volvo Group Corporate Standards are now looking for an Electromobility Technology Engineer

The Corporate Standards department is a Volvo Group-common resource organized within Group Trucks Technology, with the mission to secure quality and reduce product costs through standardization. Our stakeholders are mainly product development departments within the Volvo Group and Volvo Car Corporation. We develop standards and provide training in connection with the developed standards in close cooperation with our stakeholders. We work to harmonize and safeguard the Volvo Group's technical positions in selected international standardization committees.

We are now looking for an Electromobility Technology Engineer.

The challenge you will meet is to handle complexity - the opportunity is global networking with colleagues from all Volvo Group Business areas to reach results. You will work in close collaboration with colleagues from e.g. Trucks, Construction Equipment, Penta and Buses. You will be part of an enthusiastic team of experts in a wide range of technical areas. You will be the hub for our efforts to harmonize and safeguard the Volvo Group's positions in international technical committees and forums.

Typical tasks and responsibilities
• Coordinate external standardization activities, i.e. the Volvo Group's participation in national and international standardization committees and automotive industry consortia in the area of electromobility
• Represent the Volvo Group in national and international standardization forums
• Represent Corporate Standards in Volvo Group electromobility forums
• Drive commonality in the area of electromobility by developing and maintaining Volvo Group standards and design guidelines
• Provide training and technical advice to users of standards, e.g. design engineering, purchasing, aftermarket, etc.

Your profile:
• MSc or PhD in a relevant area for the job
• Experience of electric motor drives, high-voltage vehicle systems, batteries and/or charging
• Experience from standardization work on the national/international arena
• Product development experience from the automotive industry
• Excellent co-operation and networking skills with a diplomatic approach
• Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English. Knowledge of German and other languages is a merit
