Electromobility is one of the main development areas within Volvo Group and was created to be in the forefront of environmental friendly transport solutions for a more sustainable tomorrow.The Charging Systems team is dedicated to provide world class solutions for transferring energy from the grid to the vehicle, delivering end customer value for Volvo business units such as buses, trucks, construction equipment and marine applications. We want you to join us!What will you do?When you become part of our team at the Electromobility department, you will get all benefits from a large and international company but also the benefits you will find in a smaller company. Combine that with having the total ownership of our solutions that span from idea/concept to industrialization and to aftermarket and maintenance!We are working in a cross-functional way from hardware concept and design to final verification and implementation in production. As responsible for electrical charging hardware (e.g. inverters, converters, junction boxes), you will develop, verify and validate system and components to well defined targets. You will function within a broad network both within and outside product development. You will have great opportunities in your career when joining our team!Who are you?We believe that to be successful in this position you are a team player who loves to develop electrical powertrain components in a customer oriented context. We believe that you have:Master of Science in Mechatronics or Electrical engineering or equivalentGood communication skills in English, both spoken and written4-5+ years in relevant engineering professionIdeally, you have knowledge and experience of electrical HW-development. It is good, but not essential, if you have experience from the automotive industry, power electronics or mechanics. You like working cross-functional and aim to grow with more responsibility.It is considered a merit if you have experience within one or several of the following:Automotive, Technical Requirements, KOLA, Agile Principals and methods, supplier management.As your future manager, I truly believe that what makes you thrilled going to work will make you successful.
