Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.Are you curious and want to broaden Your knowledge? Do you want to work with planning, team backlog and creation of technical feature for both new development projects and maintenance projects of existing basic military equipment?

The department Customized Truck Development is responsible for customer- and market adaptation of trucks and complete vehicles with bodywork. It is an expansive area where Scania invests in order to get in to new markets and segments.

We are now looking for a development engineer that knows the value of planning methodology adapted to the team.

Today the team consists of 5 employees and 3 resource consultants. Besides the employees we have two teams of consultants working from satellite offices that supports us with our deliveries. As the new projects are growing including maintenance projects we see the importance of having someone onboard that understand the value of planning but also have experience when it comes to design new cable harness installation and also requirement specifications.

For this role we see a person with leadership skills who likes to cooperate within the team, but also crossfunctional. Crossfunctions in the project are R&D, purchase, project management, aftermarket and sales and marketing. Besides a teamplayer we see that you are structured and can manage planning for several project. We see that you have been involved in a project from prestudy, prototype development and ending with serial delivery.

Your new job

You will work with planning, team backlog and creation of technical feature for both new development projects and maintenance projects of existing basic military equipment, extended- and customer specific military equipment. Working tasks included are analysing and writing demand specifications and do functional descriptions for systems. You will work actively in the projects, from pre-study to serial production.

Together with the colleagues in the team you are also responsible for continuously improving and challenge the group working methods and processes.

Scania R&D is transforming towards a team-based, value-flow way of working. You will participate actively in planning and daily work, striving for shortening lead times with quality and quantity kept at a high level.

Your profile

We believe you have:

• a university degree in electrical engineering, product development, or similar
• experience or knowledge about electrical design, electrical schedule, or electrical components
• experience in cable harness or mechanical design.
• knowledge in Saber / CATIA is a bonus
• knowledge in product development
• knowledge in Jira
• skills in planning

It is a plus if you previously have worked in automotive.
