Our department is a staff functions responsible to drive and coordinate quality and product safety within Volvo Penta. Quality and Product Safety is part of Quality, Environment and Product Compliance department.

The department of Quality and Product Safety Compliance is now looking to hire for a new global position as Electrical Safety Manager.
Position description
This role will lead and coordinate our way of working with electrical safety within Volvo Penta. You will lead a crossfunctional team to build and develop our ability to ensure safe development, manufacturing, distribution and installation of electrical components and products into our different operational applications. You will work in close cooperation with a variety of stakeholders and solution providers both inside and outside Volvo Penta e.g. Technology, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Aftermarket and Sales to secure safety in the complete value chain. You will be responsible for ensuring that Volvo Penta way of working are fulfilling applicable requirements and Volvo Group standards. In this journey you need to establish and develop procedures, define roles, secure necessary trainings and continually coach, mentor and support the organisation towards compliance and an acceptable safety level.

Desirable experience and qualifications
• Experience from electrical engineering and/or electrical safety work
• Master of Science degree or similar level of education within relevant area
• Leadership and project management skills
• Previous experience from AB Volvo is preferred
• Experience from regulatory work
• A structured and accurate way of working
• Fluent in Swedish and English is a minimum. Other language skills are welcome
• Great communication skills, both in terms of reports, presentations and dialogue
