You will be working at Safety Analysis within Volvo Cars Safety Centre, a part of Vehicle Engineering unit within Product and Quality at Volvo Car Group.

Volvo Cars Safety Centre is the heart of safety development at Volvo. You will be surrounded by motivated colleagues with fields of expertise covering areas such as Biomechanics research, Real world data, CAE and Physical test analysis. Our internal crash lab, testing facilities and CAE capabilities are world leading.

The mission for Safety Analysis is to secure the passive safety performance by providing relevant prerequisites, guidelines, analysis and verification results to design responsible!

What you'll do

Your main goal is to secure that required safety functionality is supported in future car programs, this you will do by co-operating with a wide range of internal partners, such as Safety Centre colleagues, system- and function developers, design and many others. The position may also include participation in international working groups.

You participate in and support the design process and functional development of electrical- and post-crash systems and functionality. You will be the main responsible for leading the development of system requirements and design guidelines for electrical- and post-crash functionality.

You will independently lead analysis regarding electrical- and post-crash systems and educate colleagues in electrical- and post-crash systems and functionality. You will also develop verification and analysis methods.

Do you fit the profile?

You are a technical passionate leader with ability to inspire others to work together to find solutions. You enjoy networking and sharing expertise across the company to secure correct status in the many aspects of a car environment. You are used to working in an international environment, good at contribute to the team effort and you always have the customer in focus.

Previously experience from designing vehicle electronics or functions is required. You have develop strong analytical skills and are comfortable with defining your own work plan, as well as coaching others in theirs.

* MSc or BSc in Electrics & Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical engineering or similar.
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Experience from design or testing within Volvo Cars is an advantage.
